About us
Dugong’s Bay is a 30m2 one-bedroom apartment, perfect for 2 or 3 people. Located between Lemons Bay (Baie des Citrons) and Anse-Vata bay (Baie de l’Anse Vata), two of Nouméa’s most sought-after districts, it is close to all amenities. This Caledonian-designed flat has a well-equipped kitchen to make you feel at home, a bathroom and an air-conditioned bedroom with a queen-size bed. In the living room, you’ll find a double sofa bed (140cm) and an office area, all with a modern touch.
Enjoy a sunset aperitif with a view over Anse Vata Bay from your terrace, complete with a plancha for grilling Caledonian prawns or venison kebabs!
Relax and unwind! We’ve got everything you need for your stay: arrival and beach kits, board games, bike hire, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a welcome booklet to help you get to know the capital.

There’s a well-lit office area with a very good free and unlimited WIFI connection (fibre).
Taking care of yourself ?
A modern bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet awaits you. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your toothbrush! We’ve got everything covered with our zero-waste welcome products: soap and shampoo dispenser, bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste powder, etc.
If you want to wash whiter than white, you’ll have your own laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer! An ironing board and iron will make sure you don’t wrinkle a thing!
Finally, if you want to keep cool, there’s a ceiling fan (to minimise your carbon footprint) and air conditioning in every bedroom and sofa bed room.

+ Because we know that when children are happy, parents are happy too, we provide everything they could possibly need on request: a cot or co-sleeping bed, a high chair, a bath, a walking kit (seat reducer and step stool), a sling and/or pram, a car seat and a booster seat!
+ Independent arrival from 2pm, 24/7! All the information you need to enter the accommodation (address, lock code, wifi code) will be given to you before your stay. Depending on your arrival time, we’ll be there to meet you either on arrival or the next day.
+ For an additional fee, we can also organise your airport transfers, car hire, mobile internet with pocket wifi and a local tourist phone SIM card.

eWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The flat is part of a low-rise villa comprising 4 apartments. Each flat has its own private, secure entrance.
All our apartments are equipped with a safe smoke detectors and a first aid kit.
Please note that free parking is available on the street.
Airbnb insurance and holiday rental home insurance do not cover burglary. For this reason, we advise anyone renting out holiday lets to check their comprehensive home insurance and to add the “holiday cover” clause to it.
As you can see, we are making sure you have awesome time in New Caledonia!
YOUR DEPARTURE
Departure time: 11 am. We can arrange a late departure if required, subject to availability.
The apartment must be returned in the same condition as on your arrival: clean. The ” cleaning fee ” is used to check the flat and to restock it between rentals. You can book a ” departure cleaning ” for a fee if you want someone else to clean the apartment upon departure. You can also book a ” weekly housekeeping cleaning ” for a fee during your stay at the apartment.

House Rules:
No smoking – except in private outdoor areas by closing the accommodation’s bay window.
No parties
Entry to the premises is from 2.00 p.m.
Les Hauteurs de la Baie is located in a very quiet area, so out of respect for your neighbours, we would ask you to keep noise to a minimum at all times of the day, particularly between 12pm and 2pm (nap time) and after 9pm.
Correct dress is required throughout the stay.
You also confirm that you are aware of :
- Free on-street parking is available.
- Use the air conditioning to sleep with the windows and doors closed. Give preference to the use of fans – the planet will thank you!
- Accommodation must be left in the same clean and tidy condition in which it was handed over.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellable rate: For stays of less than 30 nights, a full refund is possible up to 48 hours before arrival.
Cancellable rate: For stays of more than 30 nights, a full refund is possible up to 5 days before arrival.
Non-refundable rate: Refund possible if cancelled within 24 hours of booking – After 24 hours, no refund possible.
Looking for adventure?
At Anse-Vata Bay (Baie de l’Anse-Vata), you can hire nautical equipment (windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle, Funboard, Kite surfing etc…). At nightfall, you’ll find bars and nightclubs at Lemon Bay (Baie des Citrons)! Children can also have fun at the various parks (Brunelet 5 min and Orphelinat 20 min walk) or swimming pools (CNC 13 min and Ouen-Toro 30 min walk).
If you're in the mood for a spot of shopping,
the Port Plaisance, Michel-Ange and La Promenade shopping centres (with their supermarkets, bakeries and shops) will hold no secrets for you!
To get around, there are bus stops on either side of the flat and car rental agencies just 10 minutes from your door! We can also rent you electric bikes.
Excess luggage or the desire to share a piece of the "Cailloux" with your friends?
if you want to send your postcards and parcels, the Receiving post office is the place to go!
Looking for peace and quiet?
You’ll find shade under a tree on Lemon Bay (Baie des Citrons), where you can swim or sunbathe (beach kit in the dedicated cupboard in your rental accommodation). At Anse-Vata Bay (Baie de l’Anse Vata) you can embark on a day trip to Duck Island (Ilot Canard)! Rain or shine, marvel at the underwater world at the aquarium, and in fine weather, climb to the top of Ouen Toro to admire the view!
